Hello,

I'm seeing a listed error in the ArcGIS Server Manager logs indicating "Failed to rename cache folder".

After using "Overwrite an existing service" under "Share as Service" to update a published service I noticed my edits were not coming through to the final product in AGO.  However, if I take the same project file, resave with a new name, and select "Publish a service" under "Share as Service" all my updates are present.  This is not a great work around for me since I would need to re-apply a significant number of custom pop-up configurations that are applied with the original thereby drastically inflating the workload to update a single service.

We are using ArcGIS 10.8.1.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how this can be remedied or investigated to resolve?

Thank you.

Jeff

Jill,

Thank you for responding to my post.

Yes.  That is exactly what is happening.

Not quite sure I am exactly thrilled with the solution they suggest though.

I do appreciate you taking the time to pass it along.  Most kind.

Hi Jeff,

In my experience Overwrite usually works without issue but maybe once in a while the service gets corrupted and needs to be deleted and republished.

Thanks,

Jill

Hi Jill,

Yes...I was hoping to avoid that scenario...but alas...that might not be the case.

I appreciate your help though.

Thanks.
