Hello,

I am working on adding a number of API links to different data sources. One of the items in ArcGIS Online I am trying to add is this WFS link (https://geo.spatialhub.scot/geoserver/sh_commcnc/wfs?service=wfs&authkey=b85aa063-d598-4582-8e45-e7e....

The data is being displayed ok in AGOL, but the data comes with no metadata. I am unsure if the WFS is designed not to contain metadata or I am not adding a parameter while creating an AGOL item that could populate the metadata from source.

Can anyone advise if the metadata can be accessed from the source WFS/WMS links and displayed in AGOL item, please?

Thanks

Hi @MateuszReklewski

I don't think it's possible for AGOL to automatically populate the metadata from a 3rd-party WFS (Geoserver in this case) I'm afraid.

Your best option might be to manually add metadata to your AGOL item details based on the information provided on the Spatial Hub site or the inherent capabilities document for the service - found at this URL: https://geo.spatialhub.scot/geoserver/sh_commcnc/wfs?service=wfs&authkey=b85aa063-d598-4582-8e45-e7e...

I hope this is helpful.

Kind regards,

Peter
