Hi GeoNet Community,

Has anyone added any of the windy.com layers into an existing ArcGIS Online map?

I would love to add the particles animation but unsure how to.

I have found windy APIv4 plugin but unable to open the link to the Windy API key:

https://api4.windy.com/

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Chris,

The windy.com API is not a layer that can be added to AGOL. It is an API that uses Leaflet, which differs from the JS API which AGOL uses.

I've used it as a dashboard widget, adding the windy.com page as rich text only...

Windy: Wind map & weather forecast

Hi Marie,

Thankyou for your suggestion. Which dashboard widget are using to add the rich text in?

Thanks,

Chris

You've probably figured it out already, but for anyone else reading this thread: you can use the Rich Text widget, then paste the code from Windy.com's embed widget creator into the text box AFTER switching to <> Source. Click on <> Source again to go back to normal text, and it will generate the widget for you from that code.
