When users are invited to join ArcGIS Online they are also required to create their own password for the site access. There are no guidelines provided as to what constitutes an appropriate password. My users have been frustrated trying to generate a password that keeps getting rejected for no apparent reason as the password guidelines are not publicized. If the guidelines were available on the sign in page then they will be more successful at creating a useful password. Users are not always in the office to come and ask the pertinent questions and many are new to GIS and already feel intimidated. We need to stop alienating users because we don't give them proper direction.
