In Map Popups, Whitelist the Custom URL Scheme for Cityworks Mobile Applications

Cityworks has implemented a custom URL scheme that has the ability to open the Cityworks application on your mobile device.

The custom URL scheme is "cityworksXX://" where XX is the mobile application version of Cityworks you have have installed on your mobile device.

For Cityworks version 8 the URL is cityworks8:// for version 11, the URL is cityworks11:// etc.

According to ESRI in this post,

only specific custom URIs are supported in the pop ups in the map viewer and Field Maps.  Since Cityworks is heavily tied to GIS and a common vendor for municipalities as well as a major sponsor of the UC, it would be immensely helpful to have the ability to open the Cityworks mobile application from webmaps and Field Maps.

There are multiple business use cases in our organization where it requires we access our assets and work management activities via webmap or Field Maps initially but complete the activity in Cityworks Mobile.

I was told by support to create this enhancement request and then it could be "dealt with properly".  What is the status on this?  In the past, based on other posts in the community it seemed trivial to whitelist a custom URL, I don't understand why in this case it's being treated differently.
