It would also be appreciated if Esri could fix the issues with *Map Viewer* such as 'Sketch' which continue to inhibit the potential for this kind of link up e.g. items created in 'Sketch' such as a river course or transect line still can't be saved to use in 3D apps such as Scene Viewer. The only way to do this is via 'Map Note' in *Classic Map Viewer*, which is about to be deprecated.

I have found a workaround, but not a solution.

The workaround is essentially to *'Create a feature layer'* (FL), configure it to contain a Sketch, configure the Sketch then save the new FL which can be used in other maps and apps.

The end result has is potentially more useful, because data can be added to it which means that pop-ups can be more interesting and meaningful. However, as with most workarounds, it's much slower and more complicated. Also, if using the new FL in Scene, it may well need further configuration to display effectively e.g. Layer Properties > Elevation > change to 'On the ground' otherwise the line may completely or partially disappear when zooming in!

So it remains essential that Esri fix this to enable direct, simple saving of a Sketch as a Feature Layer (FL).
