How this extremely basic quality of life feature has not been added yet is crazy. My organization doesn't even use AGOL much, but our directory is still cluttered because some dashboards and apps can contain 10-20 individual components. Having the ability to better sort that data is crucial.
Please, please, please add this functionality. Flat folder file structure is simply untenable for an organization with many detailed projects in AGOL!!!
It's especially confusing where you may have a test and production version of the same app, so you end up with folders called AppX - Test, AppX - Prod, AppY - Test, AppY - Prod, ect.
This is so important to get into not only AGOL but of course also the Portal.. Additionaly it should be possible not only in your content but also in Groups.
