After upgrading to ArcGIS Monitor 2025.0  I get the error message "ArcGIS Monitor database is not ready" when I logg into the manager for ArcGIS Monitor.

The server is Windows 2022 Datacenter.
The PostgreSQL version is 15.13
The Windows service account has for the moment ben granted local admin rights

When running in the debug mode I see the following message in the log:

WARNING: The database is not ready. Database schema not up to date {"resource":"database","worker":4380}

Has anyone seen the same problem?
When the ArcGIS Monitor was uppgraded should the database been updated?
Is the database schemas different between version 2024.1 and 2025?

You may be going down a "rabbit hole" as I see that error regularly in the logs even when everything is working.  We are still on 2024.1.

Received a similar/same error - After upgrading from ArcGIS Monitor 2024.1 Server  to 2025.0 on a Windows Server 2022 environment, I received a similar error message: "The database is not ready. Database schema not up to date."  PostGRESQL version 15.13

I've attempted several troubleshooting steps without success. At this point, I'm considering reverting to my 2024.1 snapshot to restore.

I had a similar issue when upgrading to 2025 today.

I followed the steps here and was able to connect my agm database back to monitor after deleting the encrypted password in the env file and performing restarts on Monitor Server and the postgres database service.

I tried to remove the lock file mentioned in this user's post but I didn't have one in postgres. I did get an initial error stating there was a lock but eventually it went away and I was able to connect again.

Hi @KjellTimalm and @IM_DSHS,

Something to try and troubleshoot this issue, can you please check and ensure that the ArcGIS Monitor service account has the appropriate permissions for the ArcGIS Monitor installation folder?

This location, C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Monitor

Then restart the AM Server service.

Hope this helps,

Hi @DerekLaw ,

This issue still occurs even with the new 2025.0.1 patch.

I've confirmed the service account has permissions to all folders on the machine and restarted services with no luck.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated, I've also attached the logs.

Thanks,

Hi @DerekLaw

We actually rebooted the machine and the database error stopped.

Im guessing the service needed to be fully stopped and started (I did restart it initially with no success).

I've upgraded one of our Host machine agents and it started pulling metrics.

I'll continue to check monitor over the next few days but it seems like everything is working on 2025.0.1 now, it just needed a restart.

Thanks

I have similar error after upgrade from 2024.0 to 2025.0.1

After choosing configure database - a long process took place and after its end everything looks fine

But error appears again "ArcGIS Monitor database is not ready" and it was going in circles

For me worked solution to update DB connection - to re-specify the port
