Hello everybody,

launching the S-58 Error Manager tool in Maritime for Pro I receive this message:

"Validation failed: ClusterRank failed to converge to a single point at  (4.340027, 50.851848)".

Looking at these coordinates there is nothing of unusual (a building):

I've checked the geometry (that is correct), relaunched the application but nothing change.

Someone can help me in solving this issue?

Thank you very much.

Enrico

The precision of the points in that message don't look to contain the full S-57 precision so might be near that point. You can turn on visualization of vertices and nodes to quickly see if there are vertices very close together which are causing this issue (https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/symbolize-vertices-and-nodes.htm).  To aid in cleaning up these extra vertices, you can use edit vertices with map topology (https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/edit-topology-vertices.htm).

If this is a database you're able to share, we can investigate further and see if we can improve the experience for your scenario as this error message isn't common.

Hi Tobias,

Thank you for the quick reply. I was able to resolve the issue by running the Nautical Topology (Geodatabase) tool over the entire dataset. I can't pinpoint the exact cause of the problem (no issues were found near the indicated coordinates), but repairing some intersections and overlaps seems to have resolved it.

Best regards,

Enrico
