Hello everyone!

I've been trying to compile my ENC in ArcGIS Pro but since the Generate Depth Areas tool is not yet available, I tried opening my geodatabase in ArcMap and do the generation of depth areas there. For some reason, I can't generate any. There are no errors indicated but no features are created. I made sure that I covered the extent with land area and preliminary depth area, I also have my depth contours and soundings. Any leads where I went wrong? Thanks!

Curious to know if this issue was resolved? Getting the same 999999 error with generate depth areas (Arc Pro 3.1.1).

all same coordinate system, repaired geometry, cleared temp cache, run as admin, validate folder accessibility. still no go. Just one (relatively small) survey I'm working with.

I don't think your issue is related to the original post since that was related to using the tool in ArcMap, before there was a Generate Depth Areas tool in Pro.

Can you confirm you used the following workspace xml to create the geodatabase:
NAUTICAL_ENC_TEMPLATE_GX_EXTCLSID.xml

We have seen some issues when people accidentally used the ArcMap workspace xml.

You should see a ProductCoverage polygon feature class outside of the Nautical Feature Dataset if you have the ArcGIS Pro schema. If you do not see that feature class, then you may have the ArcMap schema.

Second question, did you provide an Extend Polygon Feature? It is not required, but you might try using an extent polygon.

If you are still having issues, you can email us at maritime@esri.com and we can set up a call to help troubleshoot.
