Hello,  I've never used Maps for Creative Cloud before and am wondering about some functionality.  I haven't found a clear answer searching.

We have a complex map that was started in Pro and then migrated to Illustrator for labeling & other 'finishing touches'.  We'd like to get it back fully to Pro.  We have the basemap and linework in GIS but all of the label text is in Illustrator - over 1000 text elements, so re-creating manually is not a realistic option.   Luckily, the text elements are appropriately layered in Illustrator (i.e road names are in a separate layer than stream names), but there are many different layers/ types of text in the map.

Can these text elements be converted from Illustrator to Pro in a straightforward way?  Can they be converted as Annotation Classes based on the Illustrator layers?

If this is something that should be possible I'm excited to give it a shot with the trial software and purchase it if successful.

Thank you!
