We recently discovered that the ACS 2020 Areas of Persistent Poverty is no longer accessible.

Is there a way to regain access to it or is there a comparable dataset available?

Hi Todd,

This item is not in our records as ever being a Living Atlas layer, but I contacted someone from the DOT to ask them about the service URL you provided. They noted that the service is an outdated dataset and that the grant program updates annually. They provided me the following service for County-based Persistent Poverty as defined for BUILD (formerly RAISE): https://services.arcgis.com/xOi1kZaI0eWDREZv/ArcGIS/rest/services/2023_06_05_Counties_APP_(2021_US_C...

I was also able to find a few additional resources on the DOT website I hope you find useful:

https://www.transportation.gov/grants/mpdg-areas-persistent-poverty-and-historically-disadvantaged-c...

https://www.transportation.gov/grants/mpdg-areas-persistent-poverty

https://maps.dot.gov/BTS/GrantProjectLocationVerification/

Otherwise, Living Atlas contains a wealth of poverty-related content that you can access and use within your workflows. The U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survery content within Living Atlas contains annually-updated data estimates about many poverty-related attributes. Here is a link to some layers and maps you may find useful:
