Adding a live wind animation as a tiled imagery layer (multidimensional) or one that updates hourly would be an excellent enhancement to the Living Atlas. While there is a Global Wind Atlas available for policy and planning, a live or hourly option would be invaluable for emergency management.
I envision various use cases for this feature, including air quality and air hazard monitoring for HVAC systems, predictive visuals for potential wildfire spread, and monitoring hurricanes and storms.
Currently, we rely on live feeds (arrows) but often turn to external sources to visualize the information. Having a native option within the Living Atlas that enables FlowRender would be a game changer, allowing us to visualize all our health and safety emergency data needs within a single application.
