Web Service symbols appear distorted in Java Script API Map

We are trying to consume a web service inside a Java Script API.  This same service displays fine in our Portal and on ArcGIS Online, but when added to our API map, the symbols appear distorted. See attached image.

This web service is hosted by our vendor, not one that we host internally.

Any ideas?

Which version of the API are you using? Can you please share one of the icons being used?

We are using JavaScript API version: 4.2

As for the symbol, I have an attachment in my original ticket. This is hosted service by a vendor, so I don't have details on their symbology and how its set up.

We are at version 4.25! 4.2 version is retired and we no longer support it. Is there a reason why you are using such old version?

I think we are at 4.2 because that was the current version when development started on this app.
