Updating selected graphic outline (Arcgis js Editor)

Hi fellow devs,
As part of a project requirement, I wanted to update the blue outline of selected graphics (figure 1) when using the Editor widget to edit features. However, I am not able to access the layer or the graphic that the Editor widget adds to the mapView. The 'update' event on sketchViewModel passes the graphics but its only the vertices not the outline graphic.
