I have two new slider instant apps that I have created and when I open the apps from my content page, it will open up the app without the appid parameter in the URL( which turns out to be some unknown map), but if I go in and configure the app and then click the launch button, it will open with the correct URL.  Here is the issue:

URL opening up app from my content page:   https://xxxxxxxxx.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/slider/index.html

URL opening up app within the app configuration:

https://xxxxxxxxxxx.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/slider/index.html?appid=453dee385efb4b609e0367bd7c4...

This is creating cascading issues as I am not able to place this application into a hub site.

This issue crops up intermittently and we are  continuing to investigate to try and find a resolution. You can "fix" your apps by navigating to the item details page in ArcGIS Online then click the "Settings" tab scroll to the URL section and update the url to include the appid url parameter and id value then hit save.

Thank you for the work around @KellyHutchins!

I just wanted to share that I created 2 Instant Apps using the Basic template today and encountered this issue. I was viewing the web map item details and clicked "Create Web App" and selected Instant Apps to create these apps if the method of opening the Instant Apps editor makes any difference.
