Hi, I've just noticed one of my ArcGIS Online maps is deleted - not in recycling bin , must have been deleted a while. I still have the Sidebar app. I was wondering is there anyway to get the map back, maybe through the Sidebar App without having to redo the whole map?
Thanks!
Nikki
If the map has been deleted a while, and is not in your recycle bin, then I don't know of any way to bring it back to life. The Instant App simply references the web map, it does not duplicate or embed it within the app.
Perhaps some somewhat good news is that you can reuse the work you put into that Sidebar by authoring a new map, and then in the Sidebar configuration choose the new map.
For maps and apps that you want to ensure you don't accidentally delete, delete protection is useful.

I went into Configure Sidebar app and it still referenced the original map so I went into Map on the sidebar
then Map Information and under details it lists the map its referencing and it let me open it that way and resave it , hopefully it works!
Thanks for responding, I'm still at a very basic level of knowledge of Arc!
