Without the search result being highlighted leads to all sorts of backtracking and second-guessing and finding more unintuitive things about the app.... but anyways, the root cause is that the search result just needs to be highlighted so I'll only focus on that.
When I first open the app, my first instinct is to look up the address that I want to start my search from. But I couldn't find the normal search function for the map/app itself except for within the Create New List process...
So to the Create New List I go. I enter my address, and the map pans to the location but I still can't tell where exactly I am because the search result is not highlighted. Now my instinct is to verify my location by clicking on the map and reading the pop-up that would normally show. But the pop-up DOESN'T show. I thought I configured my map incorrectly but no, I just had to hit Cancel to get out of the Create New List process in order to see the pop-up.
All of this confusion and counter-intuitiveness can be eliminated by simply highlighting the search result.
