Esri debuted the Make an Impact with Modern Geo Apps massive open online course (MOOC) in 2024 and over 20,000 people worldwide registered to attend. Luckily for you, the MOOC is being offered again in 2025! The no-cost course opens on April 9, but you can register now.

The MOOC will run for four weeks, and each week will focus on one of the four popular geo apps:

• ArcGIS Instant Apps
• ArcGIS Dashboards

The MOOC begins with learning how Instant Apps enables you to create a simple app in five minutes or less. You'll hear from Esri experts on how to select the right template for what you need. In one of the exercises, you will play the role of a high school science teacher who wants to create an app that allows your students to read information about individual earthquakes, as well as to see an earthquake on a map in relation to other contextual information, such as tectonic plates and fault lines.
