Open Data - /datasets/ Forced https Problem

In the early stages of designing our county's Open Data page and working on inventory of our content.  I've noticed that while enforce https in the sites setting page is set to OFF - main Open Data Page will load with http - if I click into a dataset to view or download, the /datasets/ page will switch to https.

This is causing issues with datasets that are linked to arcgis server mapping services - the servers are using http.  The /datasets/ page will load but the data shows "Error fetching data".  If switch the datasets URL to http, the datasets page will load without error.  Figured setting the enforce https to off inside the sites setting would force http throughout the site, is this expected behavior or any workarounds?

Can you send us a link to your site?

To answer your question, we do not have an "enforce HTTP" setting and we do not have a plan to build this feature.

What you might be observing is a change in how some browsers work....they're being more strict about HTTPS...once your browser knows an HTTPS version of a URL exists they'll always go to it as a less-than-subtle nudge in the name of consumer protection. We can confirm if your site is working properly if you send us a URL...but this I suspect this "nudge" is coming from the browsers themselves.

Thanks for getting back Graham.  I'm in agreement with the browser (chrome) messing with the url as the individual data site links were working fine yesterday and seem to be defaulting to https today.

I was referencing the attached img of the https setting:

Anyhow, here is the site:  http://gis-annearundelmd.opendata.arcgis.com/  Its the two "Data Initiative" datasets that are giving me issue.  Its private at the moment but assuming since your esri you can access.

*Also, I'm having DNS errors on datasets inside HUB that I have not been able to figure out. Its confusing me as I'm referencing the same arcgis server.  2 datasets - the ones mentioned above - are working while 4 others are giving me DNS errors.  I planned to start a ticket today but if you have the chance would be something to check out while your in there.

I don't have access to your site. Can you invite the user `ghudgins5` to a group containing the site/page/dataset items you want me to see?
