I want to understand how page views are counted in the Hub Workspace Dashboard so that I can better understand which metrics best represent user-initiated page views. We track usage via both Google Analytics 4 and Hub.
For one of our Hub sites over a 12-month period
- GA4: ~141,000 views / year
- Hub dashboard: ~42,000 page views / year
This difference in counts raises a few questions:
- Does Hub's internal analytics dedupe or more aggresively filter out certian views?
- Are views scoped to a subset of pages? (E.g., myhubsite.com/pages, myhubsite.com/search)
- Is it generally expected that the Hub Dashboard page views are significantly lower than GA4, or could this be specific to our site configuration?
