but i keep getting this ESRI message:

Something has gone wrong...

Sorry about this, it very rarely happens, but something has gone wrong in our back-end services. Issues have been generated and our staff are working to figure out what's happened.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

anyone else also getting this message ?

What browser are you using?  I've received this message when I've tried to sign into the account using FireFox, but when I signed in using Internet Explorer it worked fine.

Probably need to upgrade. I’m using IE11. I think development standards are now either up to IE 9. I’m not sure why we’re getting this on Firefox. Maybe its security settings? Maybe ESRI can help us out with this.

Can you tell me the precise steps you followed before seeing this error?

Also, what versions of chrome and firefox are you using? I would expect current versions of IE, Chrome, and Firefox to all behave substantially the same. But IE8 could be problematic.

1. Logged into my agency’s AGO Organizational account

2. Clicked on “Edit Settings”

3. Clicked on Open Data tab

4. Clicked on “Configure Site” button

5. Received a “This Connection is Untrusted” security window stating it is untrusted because “no issuer chain was provided. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)”

6. Clicked “I Understand the Risks” and “Add Exception…” button

7. Confirmed Security Exception

8. “Something has gone wrong…” screen pops up in browser.

Hi,

Here are the steps:

1. Open Firefox

2. Navigate to this page: https://opendata.arcgis.com/about

3. Select “Sign In to Share Your Data”

4. Enter my login and password.

5. Then the message appears… (screen capture attached)

Ok, can you please try going directly to: https://opendata.arcgis.com/admin

You might also try in chrome in an incognito window.

Finally, when you are on the "Oops..." page, please open chrome developer console (ctrl + shift + j / cmd + opt + j), go to

https://opendata.arcgis.com/admin, and attach a screen capture of whatever shows up in the console.

Thanks.

Wow. Well trying all three browsers with that link brings up a page that is all screwed up.

See attached screen capture. Even in incognito mode the format is wacked.

That gives me some clues but what would be really helpful is a screen cap of the chrome developer console.
