ArcGIS Hub Search Algorithm
Would like to know what and how the Hub platform searches for keywords and such. Specifically, how does it handle casing and punctuation? What I'm seeing with our item tags is that it's reformatting submitted tags and then just duplicating tags in the Hub for submitted tags that are the same, but different casing. For example, we have "environment" in one item, and "Environment" in another. In the Hub (post-sharing), the complete tags list when search shows "Environment" as two different tags.
I'm not understanding the utility of proper casing everything, but not deduplicating the tags list? We employ data sharing guidelines and would these to be as close to what Esri is enforcing to improve the overall data quality of the metadata in submitted items. Any pointers to documentation would be helpful as well.
