In the past versions it appeared to be the DeviceID was pulling the IP Address from the phone from the GPS2IP app. Now I am getting a number of 1 or 2. I was looking at the coded in the GitHub - Esri/nmea-for-geoevent: ArcGIS GeoEvent Server sample NMEA connector for receiving raw data..., but could not find the how the DeviceID was being assigned. RJ Sunderman mpilouk-esristaff

Thanks in advance.

After speaking with RJ Sunderman he was able to point out the NMEA connector utilizes the exsiting TCP transport which is pulling the channel ID in as the deviceID.
