Hello,

I am wondering if anyone out there has successfully implemented the GeoEvent Processor to interface with their SCADA system which uses FactoryTalk/Historian?  I work for a water utility and we are considering implementing ESRI's Water SCADA Processor.  Mainly, I am curious if the SCADA software is able to be ingested directly into the GeoEvent Processor or whether the data feed needs to be transformed in some way to be used by ESRI's software.  I am on the GIS end of this equation, so my knowledge of how the SCADA data comes through is iffy.  I currently don't have the GeoEvent extension, but we are considering acquiring it to ingest our SCADA data.

Thanks!

Justin

Have you tried this Solution?

Water SCADA Processor | ArcGIS for Utilities

It listens for csv-files from the SCADA-part.

Hi Justin,

You need develop a custom adapter using  FactoryTalk/Historian Data access mechanism (OPC, Web Services, OLEDB ,JDBC , SDK) to fetch data from historian.

OPC is one of the best approach fetching data from SCADA historian.

if you need more details please let me know.

Cheers !
