I have installed Geoevnt Extension for Server and I am trying to login to the Geoevent Manager but I keep getting this error.

First, the Geoevent manager give me this:

Then is throws the following error:

I have strduggled with this error for a while now and even email esri support, which I have not recieved any support. My local Esri providers have not been able to assist either.

My Setup Include

- Portal for ArcGIS on Web adaptor (Both http and https)

- ArcGIS Server not registered on Web adaptor (Both http and https)

SSL certificate (self signed).

My question is what I'm I not getting right and what is the work around.

Thans in advance.

Hi Steve,

Apologies for the late response, but I hope to help you out if you are still having this behavior. From your screenshots it looks like you have GeoEvent 10.4.x and you have a federated Portal, am I correct? Many times we've seen this error when attempting to access the GeoEvent Manager page using https://localhost:6143/geoevent/manager, as the SSL certificate in both Portal and GeoEvent cannot resolve to "localhost". The alternative for the above is to use the fully qualified domain name of the GeoEvent server in the URL The majority of the time switching the name in the URL will resolve the redirect error.

Also, it's fair to mention that using self-signed SSL certificates within GeoEvent can work, but may create several problems. The GeoEvent Extension is very particular on secure communication, and it leaves very little room for error when using certificates other than domain or external CA signed.

If you have any further questions please feel free to reach out.
