Here is the list of bug fixes that will be addressed in Mobile Update 2 (build 2500):
Fixed
? (NIM065266) - Allow GPS dll auto-detect gps ports at baud rate higher than 9600.
? (NIM065267) - Support NMEA sentences from GNSS systems other than GPS.
? (NIM064957) - Find a solution for systems that don??t support MUI but still want to apply a language to the app
? (NIM064309) - Extremely slow sync with edits on handheld mobile device on a large dataset in ArcGIS Mobile.
? (NIM062051) - The Create Mobile Map tool fails in a Python script; the following error message displays: "The method CreateMobileMap_mobile is not recognized".
? (NIM065514) - MPC crashes when adding certain tile cache with mobile service .
? (NIM064851) - Create Mobile Map tool will error with large datasets. , VJ.
? (NIM060664) - Mobile geoprocessing tools fail in Python window on 64-bit systems.
? (NIM066717) - Adding tile cache as a basemap crashes MPC in XP and Vista system.
? (NIM066723) - When generating token for arcgis.com, we should use https instead of http to transfer user credential more securely.
? (NIM066324) - Windows mobile application should sort the user ids on field crew login page. "New User" item should still sit on top of the list to allow user creating new account.
? (NIM066500) - When creating a new userid for field crew login, the app should prevent user from creating duplicated userid that already exists in local cache.
? (NIM066501) - In field crew signin page, the default selected item is "New User", and if user doesn't tap on it, but instead tap on "OK" menu item, the app would login using "New User", which is not right. In such case, the app should bring user to the page for creating new user account.
? (NIM065186) - A failed synchronization in a mobile application results in a duplicate dataset. (note: this is the duplicated record one).

Are there other changes besides bug fixes?

I use a modified version of sample "Customized Data Collection" which changed the workflow so when you when to add a feature it took you straight to the map then straight to the attributes page.

I upgraded to 2500 on a Windows Mobile (Trimble) and now my workflow is skipping the attributes page altogether.

Something has happened to the attribute page. Where if you had a field previously that wasn't filled it would give you a red dot unless you had a valid default.  Is it now letting you put in empty fields? Is this something to do with "Allow Null"?

I believe it does, it just wasn't in the release notes. Denise from ESRI confirmed it here.
