I downloaded the tool from the link you provided, copied the .exe from the "Release" folder to my C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Mobile10.0\bin folder as the Instructions suggest. Everytime I try to run the tool I get a "No License available" message?? I have ArcGIS Mobile 10 installed and am currently running a local single use license of ArcEditor 10. The application starts after I get the no license message and click OK to dismiss it; it seems to let me open a .db file, I select the layer and it chugs away (lots of features), it lets me select export modified features and then generates an error (attached).Am I supposed to get the "no license available" message....and is that the problem? I can still open the cache in ArcGIS Mobile and view the modified features so I don't think its corrupt, it just won't let me Post.
The instructions were under the applications "Help" dropdown. So I get the "no license available" error which I click ok to dismiss, then the application opens. If I click help it provides install info and how to use the tool which I have attached as a txt file.
Thank you David for posting that additional information.Denise
Like I mentioned the reason I couldn't get the mobilecache2shape app to work was because I was using an ArcEditor but it was looking specifically for an ArcView.
Denise - Two things:1) Maybe put the instructions out as a readme in the source files... this is beneficial for those of us who can't get it to open2) Any ideas as to why this won't open? on Windows 7 (64-bit)? ArcGIS Mobile 10 and ArcGIS Desktop installed. Attachment...
I am getting the same error message as you. I'm also running on a 64 bit machine (Vista Enterprise, SP 2). Did you ever get passed that message? If so, how? Thanks in advance.
