There used to be some point averaging capability within ArcGIS Mobile, but I can't find any documentation or settings regarding averaging in 10.1.1 - is that not a feature anymore?

I personally am using ArcGIS Mobile 10.0 and I am using the GPSAveragingTool, but in 10.1 things have changed.

Here's a link
http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/windows-mobile/3.0/index.html#//007v00000024000000

Here's the quote:
Use a single-shot GPS location (a replacement of the GPS averaging method) to capture a point.

I hope this helps.

This answers my question.  Thank you.
It sounds as if "single-shot" is enhanced collection, but I'm not 100% sure because I couldn't find exact documentation on what exactly "single-shot" means from ESRI.  This artcile describes it pretty well in regard to cellular phones (http://www.gpsworld.com/single-shot-position-11047/).  Again, not sure that it is exactly the same, but it gives some insight.

I am in the same boat, I don't exactly know what Single-Shot means in terms ArcGIS Mobile. I have also searched for documentation or even code samples but I haven't found anything.

Once I switch to the new SDK, I'm sure there may be an example or I could figure it out.

Hello everyone,

To answer your question.  Yes AGWM in the early versions was capable of GPS averaging, but the programmers took it out.  For what reason I do not know.  Personally, I would like to have both options available for the user to choose.  Anyway, I am using 10.2 and
still there is no capability for averaging GPS points only to collect one point.  For me, I am using Precise Point Positioning to collect myreal-time corrected GPS data at 10cm instead of getting my corrections from WAAS or Beacon (CORS.)  I use a YUMA 2 tablet that
blue-tooth communicates with my GPS receiver in a back pack.
