I'm building an application and want to know if the API ArcGIS Mobile supports a WMS

WMS layer is not supported in ArcGIS Mobile. You also cannot add WMS layer in  the Mobile Applications using API as well. Here is the link to the supported  layers and data types for ArcGIS Mobile -  http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgismobile/10.0/help/index.html#/ArcGIS_Mobile_supported_layer_and_data_.... It is not recommended to use wms data with mobile applications or while working with mobile API.
