Hello all,

I was looking to install the mobile software on my new computer that I had on my old computer. I can not find any conversion chart for when ESRI has decided to change the mobile names from 10.0 to 3.0 to 3.1 to 10.1.1 and which ones are which. At the time, in June of 2012 I installed Mobile 3.0 on my computer and my GPS unit. Well, no such thing exists anymore. Can someone tell me if "ArcGIS Mobile 10.0 (Build 2550)" is what was "3.0"? I know what happens if I don't install the same version that's on my GPS unit - no data gets transferred from the GPS unit, not good. I don't want to upgrade all of my gps units because the field guys can't keep up with all the software changes. Plus I can't - I don't see those devices for months at a time.

Very confused, stop changing numbers.

Thanks,

Yes, it is very confusing. Hope this helps

ArcGIS Mobile 10 (build 2550) shipped with ArcGIS 10

Apparently ESRI decided then to release it off cycle and pair it with the Web frameworks, so then the released 3.1 (after 10) which matched with the Web ADF's

Then late last year they changed course and I believe focused on releasing it with ArcGIS again, so 10.1.1 then shipped with ArcGIS 10.1

So, version 10 then 3.1 and then the latest which is 10.1.1

I am not sure where version 3.0 fits into this or whether it is equivalent to 10.0

Thank you. Yes, that helped. I also found looking around on old blogs, that it goes 10.0, 3.0, 3.1, then 10.1.1. So mystery solved.
