Hi,

We're using sharepoint services 3.0 on windows server 2003.  we've used the map webpart on other sharepoint pages and it worked fine, but when we added it to a website using ssl the webparts no longer work.  We are being prompted asking if we want to "Display Mixed Content" in IE 8.  It doesn't seem to matter if we choose yes or no because we only get the webpart controls, but no data.

any ideas?

thanks in advance,

Hi,
I had the same problem and just figured it out.
Change "http" to "https" in the base map urls. It will make map visible. Also all the urls of  the data sources have to be "https" to prevent the "display mixed content?" message.
Have fun.

I have wss 3.0 with  esri sharepoint1.1.1 installed. I have one internal site and using alternate access mapping that same site is available outside with https:\\ with ssl installed. I can see base map and value fine in internal site but not in ssl enabled site.
Following your suggestions i changed url of base map from http to https.

Now my base map in internal site is not working . Then when i created two base maps for street view, one with http:\\ and another with https:\\. It works fine in ssl site but now in internal site symbols(push pins) are missing. Data is still there but the icons are missing.

Is there any fix for this, can you provide me any suggestions.

Thank You

Sharepoint is built on Silverlight, and it has issues with mixed content. This causes the behavior you're seeing with the web part not fully loading. If you are navigating to the Sharepoint site through https:// rather than http://, some changes will need to be made. The link below provides more information on modifying underlying configuration files to use https:// to match your Sharepoint's https://
