Hi all-

Using Esri Maps for Sharepoint 3.0.1, I'm using the ArcGIS Map Web Part to add a sharepoint list (I had trouble using the Esri Maps Web Part to add the same sharepoint list, but that's a different issue). I have it configured to use my local ArcGIS 10.2 Geometry Service.  If I select a point in the sharepoint list and click Find Nearby, I get the error below.

Looking at other forum posts, it looks like this is because it is not setting the  Buffer operation Geodesic parameter to True when making the request.

Would setting this parameter to True fix the problem? If so, is there any way for me to do this?  Otherwise, what else might this be?

Thanks,
Kerry

Hi Kerry,

We've seen this and have a work item logged for it. Unfortunately there is no workaround at this time. Also, since this issue is specific to the Silverlight-based ArcGIS Map Web Part, I don't have any definitive answers as to whether it will be addressed. Our resources are focused on the newer JavaScript-based web part and we're still determining the level of support for the Silverlight-based web part.
