Error when adding hosted feature layer from Portal

Hello,

I've just gotten started with using ArcGIS for Excel.   Trying to add the existing layers and I get the following error:

Error adding the attribute table

Cannot read properties of null (reading 'objectid').

It happens on some hosted feature layers but not others. The one I was hoping to use this on has a point layer, a polygon layer, and a line layer in it;   only the line layer loads correctly.  the others give the error above.

I'm not sure exactly where to begin to troubleshoot the problem,  other than it appears there's an issue with 'objectid'.

Any pointers would be helpful!

Good afternoon @tmeizelis, thank you for posting your inquiry. I have seen this error message before; in the previous case, it was caused by how text/data in the attribute table was formatted. Is there a difference in the way the point and polygon data are formatted versus the line data?

Best,

SC

@ShannonCardoza I'm not sure where I'd be looking.  all three were initially created using the 'points lines and polygons feature template in Portal/enterprise.   I've added a few fields but really had nothing else other than that.  It appears to be referencing the 'objectid' field of which I have done nothing to change between the three.

I've had the error come up when trying to connect to other feature layers too, but I haven't been able to figure out what the common element is with the layers that fail.  Do you have any suggestions on what I would be looking for as far as formatting?

Thanks!
