The plugin can access Arcgis server feature services, but there doesn't appear to be any way to log and access feature services stored in Arcgis Online itself?

I tried looking up the feature service url and entering that as the server connection but it failed.

Cheers,

-Paul

ArcGIS for AutoCAD can read enterprise servers that are served out through ArcGIS Online such as: http://server.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/<http://server.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/Specialty/Soil_Survey_Map/MapServer>

However, in the current release does not support the “Hosted Services” of ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS. This is something we hope to include in a future release.

Thanks Don. Must admit I was a little surprised it doesn't already   given the focus on AGOL the last couple of years I guess I assumed it would and got caught out when I realized it didn't. Have had to use a cumbersome workaround for the moment of publishing a service from arcgis server, adding as item in AGOL for some users to access via webmaps whilst giving access to others directly via the ags url with different credentials etc...

Hope this gets sorted soon.

Cheers,

-Paul

Any idea of when this functionality would be implemented?

Hello,

since 2016, is it now possible to use Arc GIS for Autocad with only ArcGIS OnLine?

Thank you.

Hello, Don-

I, too, am having trouble connecting to any other server, esri or otherwise. Is 'new server connection' indeed a usable function? Everything I have tried gives me an 'invalid url' message, even when trying to connect to my very own AGOL server.

Any tips for working around the 'invalid url' message?

Thank you,

Althea

ArcGIS for AutoCAD 370 will only access enterprise servers that are NOT federated with Portal, this also excludes what we would call hosted services.   The road map for ArcGIS for AutoCAD will include an update to the installer of ArcGIS for AutoCAD 375 to include AutoCAD 2019 versions this summer (2018), which does work now but you have to load ArcGIS for AutoCAD separately and then NETLOAD the ArcGISforAutoCAD.dll in AutoCAD 2019 to invoke it.   After that will be adding support for connecting to enterprise services federated with portal (target late 2018) and then likely the release after that hosted services (2019).  The URL for a  Portal federated enterprise servers  is different than that of a non-federated URL for the same services.  For now to access the enterprise services you need to make them available to ArcGIS for AutoCAD users  as non-federated services.  *(date projections/functionality subject to change)
