Hi All,

I require one help. I have CAD drawing with Point, Polyline and Polygon Layers. I want to create a blank field in the Polyline layer so that I can put the values later on in that field, can anyone please explain or share the workflow to do the same.

Also, is there any possibility  of having drop down list in the value field ?

Can this be done using ArcGIS for AutoCAD?

Please refer to image attached

Thanks in advance

Hello @SameerBhosle,

Thanks for reaching out again. It would be good to include the Autodesk product/version along with the ArcGIS for AutoCAD version and type of layers you are working with so we have a place to start from.

The drop down list you mention it sounds like you would like to have a domain value added to one of your attribute fields. Domains need to be defined on the web feature layer before they are added into the drawing with ArcGIS for AutoCAD. You can't create domains within ArcGIS for AutoCAD but we do support using them. At this time you can accomplish this from ArcGIS Pro before publishing these layers.

As for the provided screen capture I just wanted to let you know the "fields" would be displayed using the Attribute Editor (Identify Features) and or the Attribute Table not the AutoCAD Properties pallet. There is a case where you can do this with Civil 3D UDP but that only applies to COGO points and parcel entities.

I hope this helps.
