Repeatedly signed out of Field Maps

Hi,

We are seeing users get signed out during the day in ArcGIS Field Maps.

I believe it's too frequent to be tied to the 5 releases over the past two weeks, but are users still expected to have to sign back in after the mobile app updates?

It seems to occur if the phone screen locks.

ArcGIS Online, on iOS and Android, Tasks enabled. Logs look like this:

Hi @ChristopherCounsell ,

Have you logged a case with support for this? It would be helpful if you can so they can begin looking into it in your environment. A few other people have reported it but at the moment we cannot reproduce it in house in order to diagnose what's causing it.

In addition to opening a support case, we did have a few additional questions. Is the map fully using layers from ArcGIS Online? Or do you have an Enterprise layer in the map as well? And can you describe what you're seeing when you say users are signed out? Are they repeatedly prompted to sign in? Do the sign-in prompts happen at regular intervals?

• ArcGIS Online, no enterprise layers, all hosted feature layer views.
• Map is Tasks enabled (I don't believe we are seeing this on other maps without Tasks)
• Arcade is used for url integrations (addfeature to same map), GetUser($layer).username, some other minor stuff
• Case 04023718, have added logs
• No regular intervals, I'd been signed in for days without issue. Happened while looking at the legend, I believe after I unlocked the phone. Understand it's happening more frequently in the field as staff are frustrated but no confidence in timing or steps leading up outside of potentially the locked screen
• Message was 'sign in required. Your credentials have expired. Sign in as <username> to continue.’ Appeared as a small pop-up in the map with the options to Sign Out or Sign in.
• Offline enabled, but users are not offline when issue occurs

We are also seeing some freezing in the display e..g. inability to pan the map, which I believe is tied to new tasks getting created, map refresh interval is set at 3min.

We are also experiencing this but under different conditions.

• We are not using any ArcGIS online features. Ours are all Enterprise features, some referenced and some hosted.
• Offline is disabled on one map, enabled on two others. This happened to me on the one with offline disabled.
• We are not using Tasks
• We have lots of Arcade formulas
• I was using 25.2.2 on iOS 26.0 with MDM (Apple Business Manager and InTune)

I believe some staff have reported the error message @ChristopherCounsell mentioned, but I know we also get the error message "Secured Layers You need to sign in to access some layers in this map." Cancel/View are the options given. View shows you the red exclamation points showing broken links in the table of contents layers list. Cancel just takes you back to a map with broken layers. Folks have either signed out and signed back in, or restarted their tablet multiple times until it works again. 

Like @ChristopherCounsell , we have not been able to figure out when this will happen or why this is happening. I will open a case with Esri Support, as suggested above. I took a video of my work on this yesterday in the field and can also share the logs from Field Maps with them.
