Removing or hiding compass/directions/favourite from android Field Map popups??

Does anyone know if it is possible to configure the Android version of Field Map to hide the Directions/Compass/Favourite tools from the popups. They persist across all popups and take up quite a lot of valuable screen space.

I am having the same issue and it just makes scrolling the popup clunky too (Overshooting the details) as those items are twice the length of my 4 line popup and it just wants to snap to the top of the screen with any scroll movement.

This would be nice for the data we're collecting. I`m fairly certain no-one will ever want Google Map directions to a recorded arctic tern. Would be nice to have the option to remove the clutter from the Field Maps app.

Prior to the October upgrade, a simple "+" sign appeared in the bottom left of the field map screen allowing one to collect at the location on the screen. Clicking the big blue "+" sign returned the map to the current location.  
This was very useful if adding features to the map in locations distant from one's current cafe.
After October this "+" has disappeared and the only way to achieve the same outcome is to drag across the  "Directions" ""Compass" "Favorite"  buttons and to click on "...More". Then select "Collect here". 
It's a bit much to expect that the average users should do this.  Is there a way around this problem please?

Hi @KeithSalmon if it helps we still have the big blue "+" sign in Field Maps post October update. I have noticed sometimes it disappears though, especially if I keep Field Maps open for a while, go to another app and then return to it later. When this happens I have to close Field Maps completely and then Reload the Map and then open it again and  the big blue "+" sign returns luckily for me.  It is invaluable. I also don`t like the Collect Here journey.
