When adding a data point to one of several Field Map apps, the app would return an error message after a minute of processing time: “Unable to Submit The request timed out.” On the contrary, we recognized the data point was being submitted and captured, while returning the error message. This was disconcerting and time consuming for field workers to process and reload the map to display and confirm the data point capture. This issue occurred previously on November 30, 2023 and magically resolved itself. Then, again around December 23rd, and again January 22nd. Also, the problem appears to originate from internal Desktop Applications since we would receive a similar error message when editing the online webmap when attempting to add a point and save. Therefore, it doesn’t appear to originate as a Field Map issue.
Our GIS Department is in the midst of migrating from ArcMap 10.6.1 to ArcGIS Pro 2.9.5. We suspect it may be related to ArcGIS Server Manager 10.9.1. Also, during the time of submitting a data point, the hardware resources are at 52 percent.
Appreciate any assistance in resolving this error message,
Dwight
@DNield1, did you come to a resolution to your issue? I'm seeing something similar with Field Maps and ArcGIS Online.
-Logan Suhr
Hi Logan,
We haven't received a resolution for the error we continue to receive in Field Maps. We are installing ArcGIS Server Monitor to assist us in narrowing down the issue. Please let us know if you are able to find solution in the interim.
Thanks,
Dwight Nield
