How to add navigation boundary in Field Maps

I would like to implement the Navigation Boundary capabilities of some web maps in offline field maps. I know that you can select an extent using offline field maps, but the user is still able to scroll outside of the map bounds or zoom out too far, resulting in a blank map. Consequentially, it doesn't actually limit the map extent. It'd be a nice addition for usability to limit the extent of the map in Field Maps, especially when you're using the map to collect qualitative information in a research setting.

I tried adding the "extentSelectorConfig" JSON that is used in the media maps with navigation boundaries to the web map used for the data collection, but it was not effective (though I'm not sure I implemented it correctly). It would be great to see this feature added, or to have a workaround like this one

Thanks in advance,
Abe

The only thing I can think of is training.  You can set the default extent for your organization, but still move outside of it.
