Field Maps Designer has no way to add tables

If I create a map with a table then add the map to Designer then I can get a table in there.  But if I use the Add Layers button and add a service it only brings in the layers and not the tables.  Then there is no interface to add tables at all.  Not to be a broken record but please stop treating tables differently.  Most orgs have more tables than layers.

Also another quirk if you remove all the layers from the grouping thing it does there is no way to remove that empty group.  Not sure what the group is doing really.
