Field Maps crashing when adding vertices to polygons

A user in our organisation is reporting that Field Maps continues to crash (app closes and goes to background, screen goes back to android home screen).

This only happens when the user is adding vertices to create a polygon on any map. When this happens, Field Maps can be opened again, being left just before the creation of the polygon that made it crash. If it was an isolated occurrence, my colleague could continue with their work, putting up with this inconvenience when it happens. However, this seems to happen almost every time, which means needing multiple attempts, simplified shapes, etc. each time a polygon needs to be drawn, with the natural frustration this carries.

He is the only user reporting this occurrence. His android tablet, version, Field Maps version, ArcGIS Online licence and role types being exactly the same as their colleagues who manage to work without incidents. My colleague reports this issue happening only on their android tablet, while working correctly on their android phone.

Uninstalling Field Maps and installing it again has been tried, but the issue persists. Device factory reset has not yet been tried.

I attach Field Maps log for reference - I don't really understand it, but someone here might be able to identify the event of the app going to background when editing, etc. and hopefully identify a reason.

User: mobile worker. Role: data editor.

Field Maps: version 25.1.0 | Build: 1529

Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Ta  S6 Lite | Model: SM-P620 | Android Version 14

Can you check in your data for z or m values being enabled, if they are not needed I would recommend removing them from the geometry type. You geometry type may say Polygon ZM etc.

You can also check this in the layer item details page. It will be present on the right hand side before the rest URL

You will need to use Pro and republish

@DanielFox1 thank you for your reply. I have just checked and both z and m values are disabled, so I'm afraid it must be another reason 😕

Have you tried to filter out each layer, take out certain layers and note if the same behaviour happens?

There are certain layers in the log file that have error attached to them, can you isolate them and see if the same thing happens or remove from the main dataset and check the same
