Hello, Our field team is just considering to use ArcGIS Field Maps for our next project. In the web app, is it possible to show your current device (laptop) location? This may sound weird but some of the members of our team prefer using laptops (instead of smartphones or tablets) in the field. Ferdie

The Field Maps web app is for configuring and deploying maps and layers; it's not designed to collect data. However, you could use the new Map Viewer application to collect information. Its editing interface uses the forms created in Field Maps. I don't see an option to get your current location in the new Map Viewer though.

As of November, the word was that ESRI was not developing a Windows 10 version of Field Maps.  https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-field-maps-questions/when-is-field-mapping-going-to-be-made-ava...

If enough people ask for it, they might build it. Explorer might be your best bet for now.

Thanks, ArcGIS QuickCapture might be a better solution for us because some of our field personnel are collecting while inside a car (for security and safety purposes). We are still new to all these solutions so we keep looking and exploring what is best for us.

Thanks a lot. We just discovered ArcGIS QuickCapture which may be a better solution for us. It's available for Windows and can display your current location on the map.
