Good morning,

I have a new project that is similar to an existing one so I would like to know if I can duplicate and existing Field Maps designer project and it will create a new Web map and a new hosted feature layer.

Thanks

Hey @JoseSanchez

You can use the duplicate feature here in the Field Maps Designer location to duplicate the map and forms:

When I duplicate the form, does it also duplicate the layer?  In my new copy I need to add and delete fields.

Hi @JoseSanchez  you should look into Map Templates in Designer in addition to the ability to copy/duplicate the map as mentioned previously. You will want to consider Map Templates if you anticipate repeating similar projects in the future. Another benefit is these templates can be shared across your organization for others to use. Check out the doc here. Thanks!

Thank you @ColinLawrence ,

When I create a template with Form1 and Layer1, and then use that template to create a new Field Maps Designer project, does it generate a new Field Maps Designer with a new form and a new layer? or does it reuse the same layer?

It will create a new map and layers in the majority of cases (there is a limitation with Group layers). If you have Group layers in the map you want to create a Template from, I suggest ungrouping those first.
