Currently, in Field Maps Designer (Form configuration), the Input type options for integer fields are "Number - Integer" and "Barcode" (see screenshot). I suggest adding another (non-default) input type called something like "Number - Integer - with plus-minus buttons".
This would allow the user to increase or decrease the integer value without having to tap in the box, hit backspace, and then type a number. This would be most useful for fields that tend to hold small integer values, like the ones shown in the attached mockup image. This image shows the existing user interface (UI) for integer fields (the "Number - Integer" Input type) plus three possible layouts for how the new option might look in the mobile app. It would work the same way as the existing UI (you could tap in the box to type the number, and tap the "X" to delete the number) with the addition of plus and minus buttons.
I like it. Good idea.
This input type would be really helpful, ie. at our work we have people making inventory in the forest counting different structures and as it is today they need to summarize themselves every time they find a certin structure.
As they fist need to delete the number, there is always a possebility to forget.
So to have a "spinner" (as it is called in Survey123) would ease off this moment of the fieldworker that can concentrate on the inventory instead and as said, would also be much quicker.
Yes, a Spinner option in Field Maps is what I am hoping for too!
