A key need in the mining industry is the ability to perform geological map editing directly in the field. Field Maps effectively supports the creation of new geometries in the field; however, the requirement isn't always limited to creating new features. Often, the need is to simply split an existing polygon to add more detail during fieldwork.
Implementing basic editing tools, such as "Split" and "Merge," would be extremely useful in enhancing the tool's functionality and meeting these needs.
