We would love to be able to implement select multiple type questions in Field Maps. We currently have a use case where field staff need to select multiple types of waste found on a site and record contextual information for each one.
This is the current design in Survey123, but we would love to migrate this all into one single app instead of using Collector for visibility in the field, and Survey for collecting the data.
Just adding another voice to the benefits that this functionality would bring during field collection!
Definite upvote from me
Surely this should be a basic functionality for an application like Field Maps, having to switch apps to use survey123 really isn't ideal in many cases.
Would love this functionality in FM. Not all use cases make sense to involve related table - particularly if just one small minor field, which if at the bottom may stuff up workflow.
Could see it similar to S123, where multiple options available to select, and values concatenated (comma separated) would suffice. Querying would still be fine as can use Like instead of Equals.
I am attempting to increase awareness of Field Maps as a data collection alternative in my organization. Seeing such a basic need voiced again and again for three years is not reassuring.
We do a lot of support of field staff who are not necessarily given the time to learn the ins and outs of several different data collection apps; it'd really improve our field maps form configurations if we had the option to select multiple. Telling people to use S123 when 99% of the functionality we need is in field maps is just not feasible for us. I'd love to see this added to field maps!
Could someone from Esri please respond what we are waiting for? What's the hold up, technical difficulty or other reason this is not implemented yet?
