BUG-000176361 - is a huge problem. I've got several clients with Android devices that cannot collect any data, because the calculated expression fails when collecting a new point. Please fix this issue ASAP!

Thanks, Mike

Hi @R__MichaelCousins ,

The fix for that bug just went out on Android today. Please verify that you have version 25.2.4 installed and let us know if you are still seeing the issue.

Thanks for the prompt reply!

Yes, I tested it earlier today with version 25.2.4, after I had several phone calls from different clients. It did not fix the problem. We confirmed it works fine on iOS, but not Android. Feel free to email me to follow up in detail.  michael.cousins@ohm-advisors.com

Thanks!

Hi @R__MichaelCousins ,

My apologies - that bug was erroneously marked as fixed on Android and you are correct, it has not been fixed yet. I'll send you a follow-up e-mail with more details.

Currently our biggest issues are that users are experiencing  being logged out multiple times throughout the day and having to log back in, but a huge one is we have a filter set on a point layer and in enterprise 11.4 the filter works as it should but when you go to the field maps app and open the map the points that should be filtered out are not? If there is somewhere I should be reporting this other than here please let me know.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Hi @JeremyUmlauf ,

In general the best course of action is to report these problems to support (support.esri.com) via your GIS administrator. That being said, we can still do some triaging or offer assistance.

Are the repeated sign-in prompts also on Enterprise 11.4? What sort of authentication method do you use? Are you seeing the issue on iOS and Android or just one platform?

For the filter, what is the filter expression that is being applied?

Feel free to respond here or reach out with more details via arcgisfieldmaps@esri.com

Our organization is still having issues with the trusted certificate error for ArcGIS Server services on iOS devices running Field Maps version 25.2 and highter.  I just tested 25.2.4 and same thing.

My organization uses field maps for photo-point monitoring. With the new update, I am no longer seeing the option to rename attachments or delete attachments. Both functions are pretty vital to our file organization and field methods. Have these functions moved and I am just not seeing them in the app. Looks like my device is running 25.2.2.

Hi @RoseSmith_Sageland,

Which platform are you using? In either case, you should be able to long-press on an attachment and see a menu with options to re-name or delete the attachment. Note this is only when you are capturing or editing a feature.

Additionally, on Android when you are previewing an attachment you can use the overflow menu in the top-right corner to rename or remove the attachment as well.

I hope that helps - please let me know if you do not see those options.

An escalated case has been created for the issues listed below.

We are receiving a Service Error Code 400. Unable to move geometry and update attribute information using Field Maps versions 25.2.x.

Users are no longer able to create new geometric network features, update geometric network features, and update any geometric network feature attribute information via ArcGIS Field Maps with version 25.2.x. Users are able to complete tasks as expected with non-geometric network related features.

The Portal URL has been removed from application, forcing users to enter the Portal URL and log back into the Enterprise. Users also are no longer able to use the camera to read barcodes or QR codes and capture the data to populate the fields as configured in the Web Maps.

We have had a couple of users lose their Trimble receiver connection information as well. Hoping the new update will address this issue.

We have an iPad using 25.1 and this version is able to complete all tasks as expected without any errors or issues.

Just wanted to see if there were any updates on a few bugs. Map load time and pop-up performance are still abysmal in the latest Android version and my hundreds of users are getting pretty frustrated and angry. Also the Android login loops after SAML sign in. I'm really not enjoying taking the heat for something I have no control over and worked just fine for years. We're even considering spending a lot of money to go back to georeferenced PDFs at this point.

I’m experiencing issues with an iOS device after updating to version 25.2.x. The data is displaying with incorrect symbology, and the pop-up information is not visible within Field Maps. The view layer works correctly in ArcGIS Online and in an earlier version of Field Maps (25.1.0). Any guidance on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, With version Android  25.2.6, we are unable to attach photos when updating a record. The error "Could not attach" appears, "Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection."

, error.pngWe cannot attach photos with version Andorid 25.2.6, it says there is a data or wifi error.

Hi @JorgeBertin_Corvalan ,

We have seen this issue and are currently working on a fix for it. It is likely caused by a service in your map using http instead of https, I believe it's more common in older maps that may have been around for a while. If you re-save the map it should update the urls to use https and resolve the issue.

I hope that helps!

Thanks for your reply, @ChrisDunn1 . It's hosted on AGOL. I assume the hosted services are at https://essal.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=206698a9b5444456bae1XXXXX....

Hi, I've got several clients with Android devices that cannot zoom to feature after search. Please help to check and fix this issue ASAP. Android 12, Fieldmaps 25.2.7 - 2516

Similar to other comments, we also are experiencing issues with search results not being zoomed to/highlighted/selected properly on IOS. This seems to happen when the map is beyond the visibility range of the respective search layer. This is disrupting workflows, when will this be fixed?

Hi @IntelliVietnam , @BenK2 , and anyone else having issues with panning and zooming to a feature from a search result.

I have not been able to reproduce any issues in my testing, however there is a small behavior change in the newer release of Field Maps that may be throwing you off. Previously, when tapping on a search result from the list of results, the app would pan and zoom to the feature or placemark. Now, the app will only pan. If you would like to zoom in as well as pan, tap on the swatch showing the feature symbol, instead of just the row with the feature name. Tapping on the swatch next to the popup title will work as well to zoom in.

If you are experiencing an issue where tapping on the row or the swatch is not resulting in the map view panning or zooming, please reach out to arcgisfieldmaps@esri.com with more details, or consider opening a case with support so we can investigate further.

@ChrisDunn1 I can confirm this works. However, I'm really not a fan of this change. Why would you even not want to zoom to the feature you just searched for? I can see this being really confusing to users since they now have to remember to tap in the correct place of a search result, this is not what a user would expect to happen. Also, why was this not communicated anywhere else along with all other changes likes this?

I have also gotten complaints from users on the new swatch color, it used to just be flat black (in dark mode) same as the background, this made the symbol really stand out. Now the mid-grey circle really clashes with any symbol color I've seen on it, making it harder to identify the symbol.

@ChrisDunn1 Noted on the tap of the symbol to zoom, but I agree with @MaxMolello that this change is confusing for users and non-intuitive. Why change this at all? We have also had users complain that this confuses them.

Also, I want to call out that tapping on the symbol next to the search result, or clicking on the search result itself, does not highlight the feature on the map. This is with Utility Network data in subtype group layers, on the most recent version of Field Maps on IOS.

On the last two Field Maps updates, when the app was updated on our field crews' phones they were all logged out. We are using the SAML option with authentication through Entra ID. It's been incredibly frustrating as many of our field employees struggle with remembering passwords and managing MFA for access.

Is there anyway to enforce a rule that when the app updates, our users are not logged out?

We are now with Field Maps version 25.2.7. Still the performance for displaying layers is very slow compared to older versions (before the last month updates). Creating offline areas is now causing more issues (nothing evident in the logs that is causing the failure, more time to download offline areas and I guess timeouts), also we experienced the true curve sync issue that I'm glad is not longer there. Some offline areas are also not preserving configurations, for example we set the transparency in a layer and you can see in the online Field Map the layer is transparent, once an offline area is taken, the layer goes to solid which it is annoying for users that now have to turn off/turn on the layer all the time. We use Field Maps with ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2.
