URLs in popups work in ArcGIS.com viewer but not in ArcGIS Explorer Online

Hello,

I've created a map service which has URLs indicated in a field in my data.  When I view the map service's popup in the ArcGIS.com viewer, I see a hyperlink that I can click which opens a new page in my browser.  However, when I view the map service in ArcGIS Explorer Online, the hyperlink isn't displayed as a link; I just see the text to the link.  I cannot copy that text and paste it into a new window.  I get the same results with Mozilla Firefox as I do with Internet Explorer.

Is there a way to get the hyperlinks to display in ArcGIS Explorer Online as they do using the ArcGIS.com viewer?

I've attached images showing how both popups look.

Thanks,
Greg

I'm afraid there's no way to configure Explorer Online so you can display the HTML snippet as a hyperlink (Silverlight only really supports HTML if the application is running out-of-browser, so we cant render HTML content into the popup, it's just shown as text).

However, if you have a field that simply contains a URL, then Explorer Online will show this as a hyperlink by default; alternatively you can configure your pop-up to have a Custom pop-up display (In the Layer Details, click Configure under Popups, and choose Custom, then click the Insert Hyperlink button in the toolbar) - your pop-up content will be displayed the same in both Explorer Online and the map viewer.

See this map for an example - the Libraries layer has a field with a URL that is shown as a hyperlink automatically, and the Secondary and Middle Schools layer has a custom popup with a hyperlink in it.
