How to make map "read-only"

I have created a new map using an imported shapefile and everything was successful.  I would now like to share this map with the general public, but I do not want anyone other than myself to be able to edit the map.

As far as I can tell, anyone can edit the features and re-save the map, correct?  Is there any way to restrict editing while still sharing publicly?

The map that is saved in your content is read only. Public users can make changes to the map but when they save it they are saving a copy to their own account. The only way they could make changes to your original map is if they are logged in under your global account when saving.
